——Chairman Wu Ping served as the torchbearer of the 16th Hubei Games in Changyang County

On the afternoon of April 1st, the starting ceremony of the 16th Hubei Provincial Games Torch relay in Changyang Tujia Autonomous County was held in Qingjiang Gallery. Mr. Wu Ping, chairman of Hubei Yizhi Konjac Company, was the first torchbearer.

 

Wu Ping, the chairman of the company, has been awarded as the national female expert in science and technology, the leader of the national Female demonstration base, the innovative and entrepreneurial talent of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2016, she was selected as the second batch of national "Ten Thousand People Plan" leading talent, in 2019, she was named as the "Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation" by the Central Committee of the Ministry of Civil Construction, and in 2023, she was selected as the national March 8 Red Flag bearer. She was honored as an outstanding builder of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics by Hubei Provincial People's Government and one of the top 100 Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs in Hubei Province.

Serving as a torchbearer is both an honor and a responsibility, Wu said. No matter athletes or torchbearers, they should assume the responsibility of passing on the Olympic spirit. She hopes to continue to be self-motivated, devote herself to the innovation and development of the enterprise, develop konjac from a common dish deep in the mountains into a large healthy and rich industry, keep the original intention of helping rural revitalization, and make new contributions to the high-quality development of the local economy.
